Tuesday 19th
6:00pm
Third Tuesday Meetup
Sloans Bar, 62 Argyll Arcade, Glasgow G2 8AG
Join us in finding out more about the latest trends in technology and what they could mean to your business. The evening includes networking and three short 20-minute presentations:
• XCalibre shares the secrets of unbreakable servers. Have you ever been through the pain of failed hardware or loss of service because your server fell over? Let us share some experiences you will recognise and explain how these need never happen again.
• Sharedbase challenges you to leverage your community
•Steven Webster is Technical Director of Adobe’s worldwide consulting practice. Steven will be joining us to speak about emerging trends in the design and development, innovation and delivery, business models and opportunities of current and future online software applications.
Prior to working for Adobe Consulting, Steven was the owner and founder of iteration::two, an Edinburgh based software consultancy and First Tuesday member, focussed on the then emerging technology discipline of Rich Internet Applications. iteration::two was acquired in 2005 by Macromedia/Adobe, with the team forming the nucleus of Adobe Consulting in EMEA.
These aren't sales pitches, but an opportunity to find out more about these leading edge trends in technology for business.
We've got an interesting evening planned and we hope that you'll join us! Numbers are limited, but the first people will be able to a have a foretaste of two new premium bottled lagers which are about to be imported into Britain by REC Brands, our sponsor for the night. Adobe have also given us some great prizes, including Adobe Creative Suite 3 Design Premium (worth £1660 according to Amazon.co.uk) so be quick and please sign up to confirm your place!
